2009 Spring Break on Panama City Beach was littered with celebrities, some doing shows others just hanging out with breakers at the clubs and bars. Lil Wayne, Kenny Chesney, Asher Roth, Panic at the Disco and more came down to the Spring Break capital of the world to party with you. Here are some of the celebrities from SB ’09. Lil’ Wayne

Known by his stage name Lil Wayne, is an American Grammy Award-winning rapper. Formerly a member of the rap group the Hot Boys, he joined the Cash Money Records collective as a teenager. Get It How U Live!, released in 1997, was Lil Wayne’s first album with Hot Boys, and Tha Block is Hot, his solo debut, came out in 1999.

After gaining fame with two other albums in the early 2000s, Lil Wayne reached higher popularity with 2004’s Tha Carter and its two subsequent albums Tha Carter II (2005) and Tha Carter III (2008). He earned various accolades following Tha Carter III, including eight Grammy Awards nominations. He has had two number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 (“Lollipop” with Static Major and being featured on “Down” by Jay Sean). He will release a rock album titled Rebirth in 2009.

Kenny Chesney

Since 1993, Chesney has recorded 13 albums, 11 of which have been certified gold or higher by the RIAA. He has also produced more than 30 Top Ten singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, 17 of which reached Number One. In addition, Chesney has received six ACM (including four consecutive Entertainer of the Year Awards), as well as six CMA awards. Chesney is also one of the most popular touring acts in country music, regularly selling out every venue at which he performs.

Drake

Aubrey Drake Graham (born October 24, 1986) is a Canadian actor and recording artist. He originally became known for playing character Jimmy Brooks on the TV series Degrassi: The Next Generation. As a rapper, he performs under the mononym Drake. Drake continued to recognize a close affiliation with Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment, before officially signing with the record label in June 2009. His first studio album, Thank Me Later, is expected to be released on the label in 2010.

N.E.R.D

N*E*R*D is alternative rock/funk/rap group which formed in Virginia Beach, Virginia, United States in 2001. The group consists of lead singer Pharrell Williams (vocals, keys, guitar), Chad Hugo (guitar, bass) and Shay Haley (drums). The band is best known for the songs “Rock Star”, “Everyone Nose” and “She Wants to Move”. Williams and Hugo are also known as the Grammy-winning production duo The Neptunes.

Asher Roth

Asher Paul Roth (born August 11, 1985) is an American rapper. He was signed to a joint venture between Scooter Braun’s Schoolboy Music and Steve Rifkind’s SRC Records. His first professional release was on June 13, 2008 when the DJ Drama and Don Cannon-helmed The GreenHouse Effect Mixtape was released for free via Roth’s website Thedailykush.com. Roth was featured on the cover of XXL magazine’s annual Top 10 Freshmen: Hip-Hop’s Class ’09 issue. Roth’s debut album, Asleep in the Bread Aisle, was released April 20, 2009.

Panic at the Disco

Panic! at the Disco’s debut album, A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, reached #13 on the US Billboard 200, and has sold over 2.2 million copies worldwide[3] since its September 2005 release. The band’s second album, Pretty. Odd., was released on March 25, 2008 and debuted at #2 in the US.

Flo-Rida

As a teenager, he toured with local rap group 2 Live Crew. Later, he appeared in numerous popular rap mixtapes and studio albums, most notably in We the Best in 2006. Mail on Sunday was Flo Rida’s solo debut album; its first single “Low”, featuring T-Pain which was a #1 hit for ten weeks in early 2008. Two other singles resulted from Mail on Sunday: “Elevator” and “In the Ayer”. In 2009, his second album R.O.O.T.S. was released; its most successful single “Right Round” was at the top of the Hot 100 for six weeks. He so far spawned 6 top twenty singles in his career span on the Billboard Hot 100 chart within only 2 years.

All American Rejects

The All-American Rejects is a four-piece American rock band from Stillwater, Oklahoma, formed in 1999. The band consists of lead vocalist and bass guitarist Tyson Ritter, guitarists Nick Wheeler and Mike Kennerty, and drummer Chris Gaylor.

Their debut self-titled studio album, The All-American Rejects, was originally released in 2002, producing the successful single “Swing, Swing”. The album went on to sell over one million records in the United States and was certified platinum by the RIAA.

Jim Jones

Jim Jones, is an American rapper and original member of The Diplomats, also known as Dipset. He is Co-CEO of Diplomat Records. Jones is also a noted video director under the name of CAPO, for artists including Cam’ron, Remy Ma and State Property.

In 2004 he released his first solo album On My Way to Church. The release of his second album, Harlem: Diary of a Summer in 2005, coincided with Jones landing an executive position in A&R at E1 Music. A year later he was on his third album which spawned his biggest single to date “We Fly High”. In 2006 he formed his own rap group, ByrdGang. He also has his own freestyle rollerblading team, Dip Skate, which he plans to take to the X Games in the near future. Jim Jones has recently partnered with Damon Dash to form Splash Records.

Evan Starkman

Evan Starkman has been a reoccurring cast member on a number of MTV reality shows. On the Gauntlet 3, Starkman was one of the Veterans that went up against the Rookies. He was also on Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Fresh Meat along with fellow team member Eric Banks
